#FollyBusinessSpotlight - AV Photography 📸🌊

Folly Beach has a way of inspiring creativity, and Amanda Vargo has spent years sharing her perspective on the island through photography.

Through her lens, local artist and photographer Amanda Vargo of AV Photography captures many of the moments that make Folly Beach so memorable. From colorful sunrises, coastal wildlife, and the iconic Morris Island Lighthouse to family and pet portraits, her work reflects the beauty and character of the South Carolina coast. ☀️

A self-taught photographer, Amanda transitioned into her creative career following the 2015 Charleston flood. Since then, her photography has been exhibited at Grand Central Station in New York City and has become familiar to many who love Folly Beach and the Lowcountry.

Today, Amanda continues expanding her artistic vision through her Var-Gogh Canvas Paint Kits, encouraging children and adults alike to experience art in their own way. Her goal is simple: to make creativity accessible, imaginative, and fun for everyone. 🎨

Beyond her artwork, Amanda is an active member of the community, volunteering her talents with organizations including the Coastal Family Vacation Foundation and Surfers Healing Folly Beach.

We are grateful to Amanda for sharing her creativity, her perspective, and so many beautiful images that help tell the story of Folly Beach. 💙

There’s a moment on Folly Beach when the path opens up, the ocean comes into view, and everything else fades away. 🌊

Just sand beneath your feet, salt in the air, and the sound of the waves waiting ahead.

Some places never get old.
