A Folly Father’s Day is the Best Kind of Father’s Day

Father’s Day is just around the corner! What better way to celebrate Dad than with a relaxing trip to Folly Beach for the day! Start off the day by treating him to a delicious brunch at the Lost Dog Cafe. He’s sure to love the “Folly’s Original Breakfast Burrito” or “The Best International Eggs Benedict”. Don’t forget, they have fantastic Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas to make brunch just a little bit better.

After brunch, check out Tideline Tours for a Salt Marsh Adventure aboard the Tideline boat. See if Dad can test his luck with a cast net and look for wild dolphins- or as we like to call them, the true Folly locals.

As the afternoon settles in, head over to Loggerhead’s so he can enjoy something from their extensive Craft Beer list. We promise he won’t be disappointed! Stay for dinner, or head to St. James Gate, Folly’s favorite Irish Pub. We would highly recommend “The Dubliner”. Irish back bacon, fried egg, Irish cheddar and Sambal Duke’s mayo. What’s not to love?

Finish off the evening with a stroll on the beach to watch the sunset a little after 8:15. Mother Nature has the best box of crayons, and you will surly see an exquisite, colorful sunset on Sunday night. While every day should be Father’s Day (and Mother’s Day for that matter), make sure to make June 18th just a little bit sweeter for Dad!

Peaceful & Beautiful

This was my families first time at the ocean and I will never forget the look of joy on my youngest daughter’s face the moment the waves first came up on her feet. The beach was not over crowded, was clean, and was great for relaxing, swimming, and collecting seashells. There is a long pier for fishing off of and it is a beautiful sight at night. The town atmosphere was a nice mix between relaxing and having a good time and can work for the over 21 crowd as well as for families with small kids. There are plenty of great food stops and cute shops.

Fantastic & Peaceful

This beach is very relaxing and a great place to chill out. We saw several dolphins and enjoyed walking on the fishing pier. I would consider staying on the beach here next time we are in Charleston instead of downtown.
