Join us on Folly Beach, January 16th and 17th, to celebrate the abundant culinary excellence that our tiny island has to offer. Friday night features a Cocktail Competition, followed by the Savory Saturday Street Closure event. More info below.

Cocktail Competition:
The weekend will kick-off with the Cocktail Competition on Friday at the Tides in the Pavilion Ballroom from 6-8:30pm! This battle of the bartenders will showcase the beach’s best mixologists making delicious craft cocktails! An appetizer spread is included to keep everyone happy while trying all of the cocktails! Tickets are $45 ahead of time and $55 the day off! This event has limited ticketing and will likely sell out. All cocktails and appetizers are included in the ticket price!
Cocktail Competition Entry Requirements:
You must be 21 years old to enter.
Savory Saturday:
Center Street will be closed on “Savory Saturday” on Saturday, January 17, 2026, and taken over by Folly establishments to serve up their best dishes and exhibit their skills through live demonstrations from 10am-4pm. What’s an event without some competition? Taste will feature a variety of contests. All of this will be complemented by local bands, over 50+ Folly art, craft, and fashion vendors, and a robust kids’ area. Taste of Folly will have something for everyone!
The streets will close at 7am and reopen at 5:30pm; but are open to the public from 10am – 4pm. Admission is $10 in advance [and $15 at the door], but is free for Folly residents (must show valid drivers license) and kids 12 and under are free.
Cooking Demonstrations: Select restaurants will have live demonstrations at their booths throughout the day. More information on the demonstration and times will be coming soon!
Hot Dog Eating Contest: On the Ashley stage, starting at 1:00 pm, you will enjoy some great entertainment on a January afternoon. Free to enter, sign-up in advance online!. Sponsored by Berts! Prizes will be awarded!
Oyster Shucking Contest: Come show off your shucking skills during prime oyster season, starting at 2:30pm on the Ashley Stage. Sponsored by The Washout! Prizes will be awarded!
One Pot Showdown: Take one part chili cookoff, one part stew stampede, one part gumbo gauntlet, and ten parts culinary competition; heat to a rolling boil, stir occasionally and there you have the One Pot Showdown. Prizes will be awarded!
Live Music: Taste will have two (3) stages showcasing Folly musicians. Additional details regarding the lineup coming soon!
Kids Area: Check out the Kids Kitchen by Good Clean Fun with Pots & Pans Percussion, stilt walkers, jugglers, pasta making, and more! There will also be free inflatables for games and jumping fun!

Any bags brought may be searched at the discretion of security; no outside beverages are allowed. Reusable cups are permitted but must be empty upon entering and exiting the event. Rain or shine event. Service animals are permitted.
