Folly Beach is registered with the United Nations as one of the World’s Coastal Communities, sweeping the beach clean.

On World Ocean Day, Thursday, June 8, there was a Litter Sweep on Folly Beach. Volunteers joined the Global Environmental Awareness, the FAB Litter Committee, and Toby the Turtle to help keep our ocean clean.

Hosted by the South Carolina Aquarium, the event featured different environmental groups to bring awareness on how to save the most valuable Oxygen provider, our ocean.
