All your needs are located in one spot of the island such as guarded swimming areas, concessions, picnic areas, restrooms, and outdoor showers. Starting Memorial Day, you’ll also be able to rent boogie boards, bicycles, umbrellas, and chairs all at Folly Beach Country Park.

Folly Beach County Park is a great place to bring the entire family, and especially younger children. The guarded in swimming areas and lifeguards on duty make it a safe and fun place for children of all ages to play. This also allows for parents to be less worried about their kids’ safety in the water!

As your about to call it a day, don’t forget to stop by Sunset Cay Marina for a breathtaking view of the sunset at Folly Beach. It’s imperative that you remember to bring your camera or smart phone, the views and colors that you’ll be able to see from Sunset Cay Marina will make you look like a professional photographer. #4: Eat

It’s the best time of year to dive into the local seafood on Folly Beach. Everything is fresh and ready for you to dig on in. The tons of restaurants on Folly Beach are ready to blow your taste buds away. Some friendly recommendations on where to pop in include The Washout (Folly’s best burger) and The Crab Shack, which is home to all of your fresh seafood needs, Pier 101, and Rita’s Seaside Grill. Along with the great food these places have to the offer they also have nice happy hours for you to enjoy after a long day on the beach. The Washout: Home to Folly’s best burger as previously mentioned is home to a happy hour, which runs from Monday-Friday 4-7pm and includes $1 off all beverages and blackened saku tuna bites served over seaweed salad for $12.

The Crab Shack: Offers their own unique “Crabby Hour”, which runs Monday-Friday 4pm-7pmand has $2.50 domestic beers or $3.50 well liquor drinks. Come join the fun of Crabby hour and order some fresh seafood to go along with your drink of choice. Pier 101: This unique spot on Folly Beach allows you to drink and dine with a perfect view of the Atlantic Ocean. Wonder your way over to the Folly pier and you’ll be able to embrace some fine dining right on the ocean. You can catch happy hour from Sunday-Thursday between the hours of 4pm-7pm. The happy hour deals include $3 domestic beers, $4 house wines, and $5 well liquor drinks. Rita’s Seaside Grill: Rita’s is another unique spot to check out on Folly Beach, this laid-back fun atmosphere is located just steps from the beach and provides and great menu full of seafood and classic choices. Rita’s also puts out a great happy hour, which runs on Monday-Friday 4pm-7pm and offers $1 off well drinks, $3 Bud Light and Miller Lite, $6 Crushes, $1 off glasses of wine, and $1.50 PBR Cans.
