We proudly celebrate our musical heritage while continuing to cultivate its future. We feature national, regional, and local acts including area high school and university jazz ensembles. In addition to performance opportunities for these students,  last year we began our scholarship program which awards cash scholarships to promising young musicians as well tuition for free summer jazz camps for students ages 14-20.

In homage to that musical heritage, this special festival features a bevy of the best modern jazz musicians you’ll find anywhere.

Past years showcased the jazz stylings of Gino Castillo’s Cuban Connection, Ann Caldwell, The Charleston School of the Arts Big Band, the Bob Albert Trio, Starr Acheson, The Marcus Helander Band, The Festival Big Band, Simon Harding’s Hard Bop Quintet, The Todd Beals Quartet, the Charleston Southern University Jazz Band, Wilton Elder, and Warren Vache.
